Police and family have serious welfare concerns for 60-year-old John Quinlivan, who was last seen at Kalgoorlie Railway Station on November 18.

Kalgoorlie police on Tuesday appealed for public assistance in finding Mr Quinlivan, who arrived by train from Perth about 2.30pm on November 18.

Mr Quinlivan is described as being about 170cm tall, of medium build, with blue eyes, brown/grey hair and facial hair.

He was last seen wearing a checked red-and-blue long-sleeve shirt, blue jeans and khaki boots, and carrying a large dark blue backpack.

Police believe he may have travelled to the Norseman area after arriving in Kalgoorlie-Boulder.

If sighted, members of the public are advised to contact police immediately on 131 444.
