England earned a hard-fought victory at The Oval to square an incredible Ashes series.

David Warner and Usman Khawaja put on 135 before rain washed away half of day four but were removed early by a controversial ball change.

England three wickets in the first hour were massive before Steve Smith and Travis fought back, getting the runs required under 150.

But Australia fell apart after a lengthy rain delay.

Recap the final day as it unfolded in our blog.

Fair result

Aussie skipper Pat Cummins says the series being a draw was a fair result.

Would have loved to win but I agree. An incredible series.

It’s over!

Incredible from the veteran.

Dropped!

Alex Carey gets dropped again!

Broad caught his outside edge and it’s the man who has caught them all Zak Crawley in the slips.

He went too far on the dive and it hit his wrist.

The parlour trick!

Stuart Broad goes for the cheeky bail switch to have a laugh but it’s worked again.

Todd Murphy nicks a perfect out-swinger and England can taste triumph.

That was far too good from the veteran for Murphy who batted well.

Murph goes bang!

Todd Murphy can play the pull alright!

He gets the runs needed into mid 50s as Stuart Broad goes short.

They are not playing for the draw.
