St Kilda have raised the stakes for their clash with West Coast in Perth on Saturday, creating an alternate back page inspired by The West Australian.

WA’s most prominent newspaper has become known for its cheeky back pages backing the Eagles and Dockers against their rivals.

But the Saints social media team attempted to turn the tables on Saturday, releasing a mock back page featuring Darcy Wilson and Eagles star Harley Reid on their X, formerly known as Twitter, account.

The main headline reads “The Darce and the Furious”, pitting the two young guns against each other with a photoshopped image of the pair rising out of the picturesque Optus Stadium.

They even went as far as creating a strap featuring Rowan Marshall at the bottom of the page.

The Saints have moved into favouritism to win the clash after Tim Kelly was ruled out for West Coast, who spent most of the week ahead in the odds.

However, with the Eagles coming off an embarrassing 99-point hiding at the hands of Adelaide last week, they are expected to bounce back in front of a big home crowd.

St Kilda also enter the game in poor form, sitting just percentage above the Eagles on the ladder in 15th.
