Letter to the Editor: Cost of Cherry Ripes ‘taking a lend’ of supermarket customers

I feel the large supermarkets are really taking a lend of their customers now.
In the past, the simple Cherry Ripe was decreased in size but remained the same price and was always $1 each on special but last December the special became two for $4 then yesterday the special was three for $6.
I would be interested in their justification for this simple little luxury increasing overnight by 100% and the marketing ploy that the consumer is getting a special.
