Pauline Vukelic was voted in as the president of the Dunsborough-Yallingup Chamber of Commerce at last week's annual general meeting in an uncontested election.

Ms Vukelic takes over the role from former president Rob Zdravevski, who stepped down following three years on the chamber's committee.

Ms Vukelic told the Times she was really happy to be working with such a "strong" team of people.

"There's a group of talented and committed people on the committee so that made the decision a lot easier," she said.

Angela Gosden will now take over the role as vice president, while Lisa Spicer will take on Ms Gosden's former role of treasurer.

Glenn Martin remains the chamber's secretary.

As for the board, much remained the same with Caroline Lill becoming the newest member.

Ms Vukelic said Caroline brought an extensive background in "community engagement" to the team and had a strong involvement in the local community.

Mr Zdravevski said he was thrilled with the new committee and said he would remain a member.

"It's a good-looking committee and the chamber is in a good position," he said.

Executives of the chamber will meet next Tuesday to go through the strategic plan to decide the priorities for the coming year.

Ms Vukelic's term as president will last for one year until the next AGM.
