Three Busselton teenagers have been selected to play for WA in the junior indoor cricket national games.

Harvey Golding, Connor Smith and Fraser Thompson are polishing up their bowling and batting skills in preparation for the games in South Australia next month.

Connor, a first-time selection, outlined some of the differences between indoor and field cricket and what had led him to prefer the indoor form.

"Normal cricket could take three hours and you're standing in the field for a lot of that, but with indoor cricket it takes 1 1/2 hours and you're finished," he said.

Connor has been named vice-captain of his side.

The games give the cricketers the opportunity to showcase their skills in front of selectors for the World Indoor Cricket Federation Junior World Series in Brisbane this year.

Fraser was selected for the last games and was excited to be reselected and looked forward to catching up with the interstate friends he made during the last games.

"It's a great opportunity. I played last time and it was awesome to be reselected," he said.

"I love the sport in general and being able to make lots of friends."

The players travel to Perth for team training every Friday, keeping up their momentum at the Busselton Indoor Sports Centre during the week.
