Perth traffic: Crash and breakdown on Kwinana Freeway cause heavy congestion

Perth motorists are being warned about heavy congestion on a major freeway following a crash and a breakdown on Saturday afternoon.

Main Roads WA confirmed a crash on Kwinana Freeway southbound near Mill Point Road in South Perth has blocked the left lane.

Police and towing services are on the scene.

Debris is also over the road, with motorists urged to take care when driving.

A breakdown is also causing traffic chaos on Kwinana Freeway southbound, with Incident Response closing the left lane just before South Terrace in Como.

Just 30 minutes earlier, a crash on Mitchell Freeway northbound was causing heavy traffic near Hay Street in West Perth.

Main Roads confirmed the crash has now been cleared but traffic remains slow on approach.
