A five-week festival showcasing floral displays while feeding creative souls is shaping up to be quite the event for Nannup.

Plans for the LiveLighter Nannup Flower and Garden Festival continue to evolve following the recent announcement of the full program of events.

Each weekend will be packed with activities including presentations by festival favourites like Deryn Thorpe, Steve Wood, Faye Arcaro, Wayne Prengnell and local celebrities Dr Bob Longmore and Sam Atkinson.

Market stalls will also line the main street on the weekends with vibrant displays dressing up the town.

Botanical Stylist Lara Rose Bos will work with a team to create a large floral mandala in the village green for people to visit for the duration of the event.

Gardening Australia presenters Costa and Millie Ross will be making a virtual, interactive appearance via Zoom with a presentation that ties into the pandemic panic by “using what you have”.

This year there will also be two very special activities facilitated by Josh Whiteland from Koomal Dreaming.

The annual event will run from August 13 to September 20, and showcase 14 gardens throughout the district.
