Woman charged after rent inspection gets out of hand
A Geographe woman will appear court on Monday after allegedly assaulting a Department of Housing officer this week.
Police allege the 35 year old assaulted the officer after she came to inspect the woman’s rented residence in Geographe on Wednesday morning.
The accused refused the officer entry and as the officer walked away from the house, she pushed her in the back and grabbed the officer around the neck with two hands.
In a statement this afternoon police said the officer was able to break free and get into her car but the accused kicked at the car and caused damage to a panel.
Police have charged the woman with assault on a public officer and criminal damage.
