An evening of mystery and intrigue awaits, as Dunsborough theatre group Wild Capers invites their audience to a classic case of ‘who dunnit’.

In a new venture, the group has combined with residents from Nova Care to stage this production for two nights only this weekend.

Ted Witham has adapted the classic murder mystery game for the stage, which will be directed by Liza Black.

The Chicago Caper is set in a Philadelphia in 1928, when Hal Cappone has been found murdered in an impenetrable vault with a gun found beside him.

Eight different characters will gather, all with a motive, but only one is guilty.

“It is a lovely piece of nonsense,” Black said.

“There will be tables of eight and the idea is that they collaborate to decide ‘who dunnit’.”

The production will take place on Friday at the Old Dunsborough Hall.

Tickets cost $25 including a two-course meal and are available from Sea Change news agency.

All profits will go to the St Georges’ Family Centre building fund.
