Volunteers keeping Busselton beautiful
Several Busselton streets are tidier this week after the efforts of volunteers who participated in the Keep Busselton Beautiful annual clean up of the town on Sunday.
Forty-eight dedicated individuals, including members of Geographe Cycling Club, NAB Bank, Busselton APEX Club and residents of National Lifestyle Village donned latex gloves and spent the morning filling bright orange bags with rubbish and recyclable materials.
At the completion of the clean up, 76 bags had been collected at sites within the Busselton CBD and between Layman Road and Tuart Drive.
The event was organised by the Keep Busselton Beautiful Committee in conjunction with the Busselton Shire Council and Department of Environment and Conservation, and it was hoped strong support would be attracted again next year.
