Very pink party for breast cancer
A family history of breast cancer has inspired Busselton resident Juliet Ding to hold a Girls’ Night In fundraiser next weekend – and everyone is invited to attend.
The Perfectly Pink Pampering Body Shop party will take place on Saturday, November 24, from 7pm at the Busselton Senior Citizens Centre.
Attendees can buy products and raffle tickets, drink pink champagne, be pampered, play games or simply make a donation, with all proceeds going to the cause.
Mrs Ding said she hoped up to 50 people would attend the free event so they could raise a couple ofthousand dollars.
“I’m happy for them to just come and buy a raffle ticket. If they don’t want to buy anything, bring a donation,” she said.
Mrs Ding said the cause was “massively personal”, with her aunt, mother and husband’s aunt all having battled breast cancer.
“Every time I talk to someone about it they know someone who’s got it or gone through it and I just want all those people to come and share their stories and provide support in the community,” she said.
RSVPs are requested to Juliet on 0414 826 607 or Avril on 9752 3707.
