A 47-year-old Nannup man has been charged by Busselton Police for threatening to leave a large quantity of explosives in front of the Busselton station.

Busselton Detectives charged the man with using a carriage service for a hoax or threat yesterday for the incident which happened on April 17.

The man allegedly phoned the Police Communications Centre and threatened police, stating he was going to leave a large quantity of explosives in front of the Busselton Police Station.

He will appear in Busselton Magistrates Court on May 12.
