Yallingup's Clare Bevilacqua took top honours at the Star Surf & Skate King of the Point competition in Perth at the weekend.

Alongside Margaret River's Luke Campbell, who won the open men's division, Bevilacqua defeated some of the best female surfers in the State to take the title in the open women's division with a score of 14.57.

The 2015 Open Women's State champion dominated in the division, securing her third consecutive win in the event.

"To win here for the third consecutive year is pretty special," she said.

"Like Luke Campbell, I grew up surfing on the metro beaches and think it's great that this iconic event continues to deliver."

Gracetown's Bailee Hastie came a close second to Bevilacqua with a score of 13.50, while Yallingup's Phoebe McGregor placed fourth with 7.66.

Campbell took on other South West surfers to take the win in the men's division with 14.44 points, more than double that of second-placed Jerome Forrest from Margaret River, while Yallingup's Jack Thomas was crowned equal third in the division.

Campbell said growing up in Trigg, the King of the Point competition was the "biggest thing ever".

He said he was thrilled to join the list of surfers who had won the event.

In the Prince of the Point division, Yallingup surfers dominated with Thomas, Duke Nagtzaam and Josh Cattlin placing second, third and fourth respectively.

Cattlin and Yallingup's Max Leaver also placed first and second in the Grom of the Point competition, while Campbell was crowned Lord of the Point.
