A surfboard signed by competitors in this year’s Drug Aware Margaret River Pro is to go under the hammer to raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Aravina Estate is sponsoring the surfing event as a hospitality partner and donated the surfboard, which will be auctioned at the Starlight Children’s Foundation Five Chefs Dinner, to be held in Perth on August 11.

Aravina general manager Hayley Tobin said she expected to welcome visitors coming to the region for the Margaret River Pro, held from April 8 to 19.

Ms Tobin said the Pro aligned well with the winery, which is about 35 minutes from the event’s centre, at Margaret River’s Surfers’ Point.
