Students have a ball for LAMP
Georgiana Molloy Anglican School students took part in the inaugural Dodge Ball competition in the last week of Term 2 in a bid to raise funds for a local community group.
The Year 12 leaders planned and ran the event, along with a sausage sizzle and free dress day, which was open to all Year 7 to 12 students.
About $700 was raised on the day which will be donated to Room 226, the youth centre co-ordinated by Lamp Inc.
The youth program strives to embrace early intervention and convey information to the community about youth-related mental health issues.
GMAS senior school head Stephen Treloar said participants found the event to be a wonderful success and could not have been happier with the raised funds.
