The juggling skills of Busselton junior soccer player Cedric Adinkwuye have received Statewide recognition.

The 14-year-old Cornerstone Soccer Club player was the runnerup in the Smarter Than Smoking So You Think You Can Juggle competition judged by Football West last week.

Cedric, who is part of a WA regional soccer squad, said he learned how to juggle from his uncle.

“I just entered for fun to see what happens,” he said.

Adinkwuye received two World Cup soccer balls and a Socceroos shirt for his efforts, as well as several soccer balls for his local club.

He was also invited to take part in a juggling competition with the competition’s Fremantle winner, Daniel Pervan, but could miss the event due to a trip to Singapore with the WA squad.

Adinkwuye thanked his family and coaches Perry Krakowczyk, Paul Brown, and Tracey Fraser for their guidance in the sport.
