Relief agencies spread Christmas cheer
Busselton emergency relief agencies have joined forces to offer Christmas cheer to people in need.
Accord West, Adventist Development and Relief Agency, Cornerstone, St Mary’s Anglicare Busselton, St Vincent de Paul, The Salvation Army, and Uniting Outreach Busselton are creating Christmas hampers for people who have experienceddifficulties trying to balance domestic budgets during 2012.
Uniting Outreach Busselton coordinator Beverley Biggs said with many children already counting down the days to Christmas, some parents were finding the increased pressure of the season too hard.
“The joy of Christmas should be a time for sharing and of giving of ourselves, so as to enable everyone to experience a truly blessed celebration of the true reason behind Christmas,” she said.
Donations of food items may be left at The Match Factory, 41 Kent Street Busselton, St Mary’s Anglican Church office or the St Vincent de Paul Society store on Peel Terrace.
