Ready for the Jetty swim
Busselton resident Janine Sheridan is ready to get her swimming cap on and tackle Busselton Jetty Swim for the fourth time next year.

The first to sign up for the annual event, Sheridan said she was keen to get into the water and set a new personal best time for the 3.6km swim around the jetty.
However, she was hoping for calmer conditions after strong winds almost took her “halfway to Dunsborough” with the drift last year.
“I’m training twice a week at the moment, swimming at the Geographe Leisure Centre and will start doing a bit more open water swims closer to the event,” she said.
Sheridan told the Times she took up swimming as a way to keep fit, and encouraged anyone who was thinking of doing the jetty swim to sign up.
“Give it a go or join as a team and you’ll see that it is possible to do it,” she said.
“If you start training now you’ll easily get into it.
“It’s all about the achievement of just finishing it.”
Sheridan said the best part of the swim was the atmosphere and number of locals involved.
