Police want to return stolen goods

Busselton Dunsborough Times

Busselton police officers have seized a total of 140 items while searching properties this week.

Senior Sergeant Steve Principe said homes searched included a West Busselton property where a 41-year-old woman was charged with burglary and stealing.

He said a burglary offence was alleged to have occurred between December 19 and January 12, while the residents of a home were away on vacation.

Sen. Sgt Principe said the owners found their house had been entered while they were away.

Ten items were reportedly found at the alleged offender’s property, including a PlayStation, jewellery and alcohol.

An additional 130 items were also located during raids conducted with search warrants on eight other homes this week, with 11 other arrests.

Sen. Sgt Principe said police were looking to return items to their rightful owners.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have had items stolen to come forward to prove ownership and claim their items,” he said.

The senior sergeant said any items not claimed in the next few months would be auctioned.
