WA police major crash investigators are seeking witnesses to the fatal car versus motorbike accident in Busselton on Tuesday.

Busselton man Timothy John Plester, 49, was killed when his Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a Holden Commodore Sedan near the Bussell Highway intersection with Tuart Drive at about 4.30 pm.

The 17-year-old female driver of the Commodore, who is from Kojonup, received serious injuries and was flown to Royal Perth Hospital by RAC Rescue Helicopter later that night. She is understood to be in a critical condition.

WA Police media spokesman Sam Dinnison said Mr Plester was travelling east on Bussell Highway and the car was being driven south on Tuart Drive towards the intersection when the collision occurred.

“The motorcycle rider hit the side of the car and was possibly trapped,” Mr Dinnison said.

Police would not speculate on who was at fault.

“Major crash officers from Perth attended and are asking anyone who saw either vehicle to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000,” Mr Dinnison said.
