Police charge man over Busselton carjacking
A 25-year-old carjacker has been charged with armed robbery following an incident in Busselton earlier this month.
Busselton Detectives today charged the man, who is already in custody, with aggravated armed robbery, aggravated possession of a firearm and several traffic offences following their investigation into an incident on Sunday, September 2.
Police allege that about 8.30pm the 54-year-old victim offered the man a lift from the Broadwater shops in Busselton.
After a short time the man produced a firearm and demanded the victim stop his car. The victim complied with the man’s demands and exited the vehicle.
The offender left the scene in the victim’s Toyota Camry sedan.
