Presenters will have the opportunity to showcase 20 photographs and speak about their passions at this weekend's PechaKucha event in Dunsborough.

The event, which runs every three months, will be held at the Pour House this Sunday with eight speakers from around the region set to address the group.

Co-ordinator Ninni Rosen-Tarrant said the event would be an opportunity for people to showcase what they were passionate about and to inspire others as part of their presentation.

"It's a bit like the TED Talks, but in a mini way," she said. "I thought it sounded so intriguing."

"It's a brilliant event for people to come out and see what the rest of the community is doing."

PechaKucha, which is the Japanese word for chit-chat, started in 2003 and since then it has "taken over the world", according to Ms Rosen-Tarrant.

She said it was a great night for the community and promised to provide some inspiration.

Speakers this month include Iain Sinclair, Pauline Vukelic, Jaime Bowers, Andrew Bromley, Maria Wyer, Katya Kuryuk, Michelle Troop and Tash Bostok.

Mr Sinclair will be discussing his recent heart surgery, while Ms Vukelic will address the group about the City of Busselton's sister city.

"This time there are quite a few different speakers," Ms Rosen-Tarrant said.

"It's a great night and you never really know what people are going to say."

PechaKucha will start at 6.30pm on Sunday.

Entry is free.
