MLC takes up SAFE patronage

South West MLC Adele Farina has taken up the cause of animal welfare in the region, accepting an invitation by Saving Animals from Euthanasia Busselton to be its patron.

Ms Farina said she was pleased to be the organisation’s patron and said they provided an important service to the community, preventing many rescued animals from being euthanized.

She encouraged the community to help by donating to the organisation, which needed funds to cover vet bills for services such as sterilisation, vaccinations and micro-chipping provided to each animal before they are adopted.

SAFE Busselton public relations director Lee Edmundson said it was looking forward to Ms Farina helping to get more attention for the organisation.

“Hopefully we’ll be able to get more foster carers and permanent homes for our animals,” he said.
