Goose Beach Bar and Kitchen bartender Amy Keillor has taken on this year’s Leukaemia Foundation U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year challenge.

U.G.L.Y. stands for Understanding, Generous, Likeable You and is the Leukaemia Foundation’s quirkiest fundraising campaign supporting regional West Australians with blood cancer.

All funds raised go towards accommodation for leukaemia patients travelling to Perth for treatment.

The 22-year-old Busselton resident said she had been looking for a charity to get involved with to capitalise on the Goose’s prime location for a good cause.

“I couldn’t do Movember, so this one fitted the bill, ” Miss Keillor said.

She has been wearing a T-shirt with ‘I’m U.G.L.Y. — I need Help!’ written across it all month and is in the running to be named WA’s U.G.L.Y. Bartender of the Year.

She has raised $300 towards her $2000 goal so far. The challenge, which kicked off on October 1 runs until November 16, when the WA winner will be announced.
