Help needed to keep it clean
Volunteers are needed to help clean up 16 sites in the Busselton district for the ninth annual WA Beach Clean Up on October 12 and 13.
Event organiser, the Tangaroa Blue Foundation, aims to protect marine life and sea birds from ingesting or getting entangled in rubbish.
WA Beach Clean Up event coordinator Renee Mouritz said 180 volunteers removed 11,832 pieces of debris from 21 sites in the Busselton district last year.
Volunteers are invited to register as an individual or as a group and nominate a beach or stretch of coastline they will clean up over the weekend.
All materials, volunteer insurance and logistical support will be provided.
Contact Renee Mouritz on 0437 511 620 or email renee@tangaroablue.org to volunteer.
