Good guys do good for refuge

Busselton Dunsborough Times

The recently opened women’s refuge has been the fortunate receiver of new equipment generously donated by a Busselton retailer.

Busselton Women’s Refuge provides a 24-hour crisis accommodationand support service for women and children who are escaping family and domestic violence, or are homeless or at risk of homelessness as a result of family and domestic violence.

“We are thrilled to accept these brilliant donations of a printer and vacuum cleaner from The Good Guys Busselton, we are always so grateful for any support received from the local community,” Busselton Women’s Refuge’s Gae Old said.

“The refuge will be available to women from Busselton, the greater South West and, if capacity allows, the metropolitan area.”

The Good Guys proprietor Lisa English said the store’s Local Giving Program sees a percentage from each transaction poured back into the community and the team was glad to help the Busselton refuge.

“I urge other local businesses to support them in any way they can, any donation will make a big difference,” she said.
