Film festival seats on offer

The hot seats to premiere film events at CinefestOZ are up for grabs this week.

Limited tickets for selected events at the Australian and French film festival between August 20 and 24 will go on sale today.

Keys events, including the Busselton Opening Night at the Festival Marquee and Orana Cinemas and other film premiere functions in Margaret River and Bunbury, are set to be in demand as interest in the festival heats up.

Tickets to the Dunsborough Red Cross Charity Lunch will also go on sale as well as festival gold passes.

The charity lunch at Cullen Wines will celebrate the centenary of the Red Cross and will include interviews with people from the festival’s key film industry.

CinefestOZ chief executive Malinda Nixon said these events were likely to sell out.

“Like other film festivals around the world, CinefestOZ offers early bird ticket sales to premiere screening events based on the established calibre of our film selection and the nature of the associated parties, ” she said.

“People know they are attending a quality event showcasing outstanding independent films.

“We would like as many South-West people to have the opportunity to attend the festival and this is a way to secure tickets early, ” she said.
