Farmers from around Busselton will come together for Lamb-Vember tomorrow to raise money for the community.

The fundraising event will see 10 farmers compare their lamb chops in a cookoff to raise $10,000 for the Busselton Pistol Club.

Organiser Todd Davidson said the group of farmers accidentally came up with the fundraising idea after holding a big barbecue last year to prove who had the best lamb.

"This is the second year we have held it, but the first time we have raised money," he said.

"We've sold out on tickets and have 350 people coming to the event and we are hoping to raise $10,000 for the Busselton Pistol Club.

"It's a great chance to give back to the community and help smaller groups who don't receive funding."

Lamb sausages, burgers and chops will be cooked by two chefs. The farmer with the best lamb chops will win $500.

Mr Davidson hopes the event will help many small community groups in the coming years.

"We hope to keep the event going and help many local community groups," he said.

"We've had a lot of sponsors come on board who have donated items for the day and money, and we really appreciate the support.

"It's going to be a really great day."
