Emergence to premier Drones Festival

Next month's Emergence Creative Festival at Xanadu Wines will host a premiere screening of films shot with aerial drones .

The Australian Drone Film Festival and Flying Robot International Film Festivals will be screened during Emergence's March 17 opening night, which also hosts keynote speakers from creative industries as well as music and entertainment.

Sunset Cine owner Peter Hudson said the ADFF would be "an ongoing annual film festival to be screened throughout Australia, showcasing films filmed using drone technology".

"It is the aim of the ADFF to become the most prestigious and largest drone festival in the country, collaborating and cross-promoting with international drone film festivals," he said.

UAV Resources owner Brent Watson said his company would display its drones and take aerial photographs during the event to promote their use by local filmmakers in the future.
