Dunsborough shows dark side for charity
A Halloween Ball in Dunsborough next weekend is being billed as a heart-stopping event.
Supported by the Busselton and Dunsborough Community Bendigo Bank, Professionals Dunsborough and Clancy’s Fish Pub, the ball will raise money for charity.
Guests will receive a drink on arrival and the night will feature music from Triple J-featured band Dallas Royal, finger food, prizes for best costumes, a photo booth, raffles, auction items and even a theatre make-up artist. Organiser Bryce Balsillie said he helped run similar events in Bendigo and Geelong, which were started to fundraise after the death of a mate.
“When I came over to work for Bendigo Bank in Busselton and Dunsborough some people at footy were saying there weren’t a heap of things on at this time of year, ” he said.
“We brought it over without a specific charity in mind but to be determined by some of the locals so it can grow.”
The ball will be held at 7.30pm on Saturday, November 8 at Clancy’s Fish Pub, with buses running to and from Busselton.
Tickets are on sale for $40 from Bryce Balsillie on 0415 530 340 or Mitch Baker on 0400 831 080.
