Police have uncovered a clandestine drug laboratory in a West Busselton property.

A 40-year-old Busselton man was charged with attempting to manufacture a prohibited drug yesterday, after Perth’s Organised Crime Squad executed a search warrant at the Johnson Avenue property following a tip-off from local police.

Busselton Senior Sergeant Steve Principe told the Times the property was raided at about 2.15pm with officers discovering items and liquids associated with the manufacture of methamphetamines in the rear shed.

The alleged offender appeared in the Bunbury Magistrates’ Court today for a bail application, but was not required to enter a plea.
