Wild Capers theatre group will put on a weekend of performances in the newly refurbished Old Dunsborough Hall, with two plays on offer for ticketholders.

Curtains rise on this weekend's performances tonight with a 7.30pm show of the two Alan Ayckbourn plays Gosforth's Fete and A Talk in the Park.

Organiser Liza Black said the productions would let people know the hall's renovations had been finished and the group, which has also been out of action since renovations started, was still around and performing.

Ms Black said the performances would also be a good chance for people to become acquainted with theatre.

"Perhaps if people don't know much about theatre, this would be an absolutely fantastic introduction for them," she said.

Cast members will include Rob Stuart, Courtney Norris, Jim Williams, Tricia Mothersole and Dan Anderson.

Tickets are available for $15 for adults and $10 for children from Seachange News and Gifts. Performances will also be held tomorrow from 7.30pm, with a matinee on Sunday at 4pm.
