Dirt bike rider killed

A Busselton man has died while dirt biking in Wilyabrup yesterday.

Busselton Senior Sergeant Steve Principe said the 26-year-old man’s motorcycle landed on top of him when he attempted a jump during a ride in bush land near Jacka Road on the outskirts of Busselton.

Sen-Sgt Principe said the man’s friends rushed him to Busselton Regional Hospital but he was pronounced dead on arrival after suffering internal injuries.

Sen-Sgt Principe said the man was wearing protective equipment.

He said police were investigating the incident and would await the results of a coroner’s report.
