Daggy dancing all part of the fun
Dunsborough residents are preparing to turn back the clock at tomorrow night’s Soul Train fundraiser.
The 7pm event at the Old Dunsborough Hall will celebrate the 1970s and 80s, complete with embarrassing fashion and daggy dance moves, to raise money for the Yallingup Steiner School.
DJ Big Sing will spin the discs for the night and residents are being asked to sign up for their 10 seconds of fame, in which they will perform a dance to a song of their choice.
Organiser Tracy Tucker said the night was about having a bit of fun.
“There’s about five of us putting it together,” she said.
“We’re just going to be doing old fashioned dances and fun games like limbo and a knee slide for the guys.”
Tickets are $5 from Hot Chocolatte and the event is for adults only, with a licensed bar and hot beef rolls available.
To register your song and dance moves, email dunsboroughdanceinfo@gmail.com or call Mrs Tucker on 0487 528 333.
