Cyclists tackle Black Dog ride
There will be something for the whole family at this year’s Black Dog Ride, with the inclusion of bicycles at the April 17 event.
With a choice of five rides ranging from 10km to 50km, there will be something for everyone – from the elites to the tiny tots.
Event co-ordinator Peter Whiteside told the Times this new inclusion would allow greater community participation.
“It makes this a more family orientated event with a ride that could cater for all ages and skills, while raising awareness for Lamp,” he said.
Registrations will run from 9.30am on the event day, before setting off at 10.30am.
The bike ride is expected to conclude at 12.30pm before the motorbikes arrive at 1pm, to be followed by the community carnival and concert.
