Busselton police have arrested a man after uncovering an alleged amphetamine laboratory during a search of a West Busselton home yesterday.

Police raided the home, found drug paraphernalia and arrested the male tenant about 4pm.

Busselton Sen. Sgt Steve Principe said police found a white powder and corrosive chemicals used in the manufacture of amphetamines.

The 25-year-old male was arrested after allegedly being found hiding in a cupboard and a 31-year-old woman, who arrived at the house during the search with her young daughter, was also arrested.

Both of the Busselton residents were charged with two counts of manufacturing a prohibited drug.

The man is in police custody and the woman was released on bail.
