The Our Lady of the Cape Primary School choir have come home from the South West Eisteddfod beaming with success, having been awarded first place out of eight schools in the Bunbury competition.

Students from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the winning performance, singing Here Comes the Sun by George Harrison and a harmony song, Just a Single Song.

Principal Des Wilkie said the win was an amazing effort by all the students and he was proud of their efforts.

“Once again Mrs Horrocks did a wonderful job preparing the choir with help from Roslyn Happ and Barbara Tucker providing piano accompaniment,” he said.

“The school does many exciting extracurricular activities and the choir is just one of many activities that the students at OLC excel at.”

Our Lady of the Cape Primary School is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and is taking enrolments for Kindy for 2017.
