Busselton pooches will hit the pavement with their owners next month to raise money for the RSPCA.

More than 100 dogs are expected to take part in the annual walk, which this year will mark the 20th anniversary of the event.

Busselton Vet Hospital practice manager and Million Paws Walk Busselton organiser Kylie Gibbs said the event was always a great day and a chance to raise funds for animals in need.

“We see different shapes and sizes of dogs and it’s a great community event,” she said.

“We hope this year is a bigger turnout than last year and people get involved and dig deep to support a great cause.”

Vet clinics around Busselton and Busselton Greyhound Awareness will have stalls at the event.

RSPCA WA executive manager Maree Daniels said Busselton made a great contribution to the event.

“We are so grateful to have so much support in the community, including the incredible tea, at Busselton Vet Hospital,” she said.

“It’s a great event and it’s a time when all dog lovers can come together to fight animal cruelty.”

The Million Paws Walk in Busselton will be held at Barnard Park West on May 15.

Registrations open at 9am, with the 3km walk starting from 10am.
