Calling all Magpies ...

Busselton Dunsborough Times

Busselton Football Club is putting the word out for past players and supporters to relive their glory days at a Past Players Day on September 1.

The celebrations will be held during the league side’s last home game of the season, against South Bunbury, with light refreshments provided at half-time.

BFC registrar and committee member Sharyn Newlands said premiership teams had held reunions in previous years but this event was open to everyone and a chance to celebrate the Magpies’ current on-field success.

“We should have three teams in the finals, we’re having a good year and we’re hoping past players, committee members, supporters and partners can come watch the club play along with reminiscing about the old days and meeting new people,” she said.

The 1997 colts’ premiership side will reunite on the day and attendees are welcome to bring along memorabilia and trophies.

The day kicks off at 5pm at the Busselton Football Club on Saturday, September 1.

Entry is $10 plus normal gate entry fees.
