Year 5 students from Busselton Primary School’s Room 10 recently helped the school rank first in Australia and second in the world in the online Mathletics program.

Mathletics is an education website which allowed students from around the world to compete against each other by solving math problems which have been turned into a computer game format.

Busselton Primary School principal Jeremy Shepherd told the Times students had been using the website for the past 18 months.

“The website is great for reinforcing learning as the students do a lot of speed maths and curriculum-based math,” he said.

“It makes learning more engaging and acts as a homework tool and the kids love it.”"
