Several Busselton Activ-supported employees have been presented with long-service awards for their work with the foundation.

Activ chief executive Danielle Newport was in Busselton this week to present the awards to employees including Mervyn King, Kiara Upton, Malcom Puzey and Kevin Donnelly, who have been working with Activ for between 10 and 40 years.

Activ Busselton team manager Trish Schreuder said any amount of time working with Activ was significant and when people started to get to the 20, 30 or even 40-year mark, it was an amazing achievement.

“Every year we have people meet their milestones and I know this is a reflection of the dedication, hard work and amazing work ethic that the people have that work with Activ,” she said.

“I have worked with the supported employees in Busselton for five years and I could not be more proud of each and every one of their achievements, both at work and outside of work.”

Vasse MLA Libby Mettam attended the presentation and said it was a privilege to take part.

“They are all so happy and enthusiastic and love working together in such a warm, friendly environment and were clearly so thrilled and excited by their achievement,” she said. “What an absolute inspiration they are to the community who support this wonderful workplace by utilising a variety of their skills.”
