Busselton golfers on course to sink pinks

Busselton Dunsborough Times

Busselton Golf Club will host a Pink Day next week to raise funds for breast cancer research.

About 60 ladies will be wearing pink when they take to the course on Wednesday.

Club president Ruth Main said the day was a bit of fun in aid of a worthy cause.

Money will be raised from raffles and accumulated fines for landing in the bunkers on holes nine and 18.

It is a busy period for the club, which is also hosting an open day next Friday.

About 120 players from South West clubs will gather in Busselton for the competition.

Main said the club was grateful to the continued support of Willow Bridge Estate, which donated prizes.

“It will be a great social occasion,” she said.

“All the South West clubs enjoy getting together for a competition.”

The course is also receiving a makeover, which Main said would make it more challenging.
