Detectives have uncovered a clandestine drug laboratory in a West Busselton rental property.

A 25-year-old man has been charged with manufacturing a prohibited drug and several drug-related offences after South West detectives and Perth’s Organised Crime Squad raided a shed behind the property he shared with his partner and child on January 4.

Police will allege the man was manufacturing amphetamines.

The man was also charged with receiving stolen goods after police found items they will allege were stolen during a recent Dunsborough burglary.

Busselton acting Senior Sergeant Stuart Gerreyn said the find wasbased on information received from the Busselton public.

“It’s a very good result, it’s good to see local people giving us the information to get this stuff off the streets,” he said.

The man was remanded in custody when he failed to secure bail.

Suspicious activity can be reported to police on 9754 9555 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.
