Australian actress Emma Booth will be sharing her knowledge of working in film and television when she holds a session in Busselton next week.

The introductory session will be held at Acting Up! studio and Booth will share some of her experiences working as an actress as well as give an introduction to her acting workshops.

“There’s not as much opportunity to learn the in and outs of screen acting so I want to share a bit of knowledge and experience,” she said.

“People will have the opportunity to ask questions and get answers about every single thing they would like to know.”

Booth talked to drama students at Georgiana Molloy Anglican School yesterday and said she would love to start working more with young aspiring actors.

“I just want to touch base and connect with students by giving them a bit of information relating to on-screen acting,” she said.

“I love kids and acting and I really learn myself when I teach.”

Booth said the increase in the number of films being made locally has opened up opportunities for local actors.

“There’s so many amazing films being shot here and they are needing so many actors, and I really want to help them out,” she said.

“I think it’s a great opportunity for kids to get that chance to get their foot in the door.

“They can be given golden bits of information which I know at that age I would have loved to know.”

The session will be held at Acting Up! studio from 5-5.30pm on Wednesday, May 11.
