Australia Day in Dunsborough (and elsewhere)
The patriotic and competitive are being rounded up for Dunsborough T-Ball Association’s annual Australia Day celebrations on Wednesday.
Dunsborough T-Ball Association has arranged a host of popular Australia Day games for the day including its annual thong-throwing competition and Surf Lifesaving Club-inspired flag racing.

The association’s president Caroline Lill said reigning thong throwing champion Corey Matthews would return to the competition to defend his title, Cape Naturaliste Scout Groups would conduct a flag raising ceremony and the national anthem would be sung at the Dunsborough Playing Fields event.
Volunteers from the Dunsborough and Yallingup Bushfire Brigades and Naturaliste Volunteer Sea Rescue will receive community awards.
The T-Ball association will fund raise for a trip to Perth for its state team .
All are welcome to attend free of charge from 9am until about 10am.
Those taking part in the thong throwing are asked to bring their own footwear for the competition.
