Perth’s newest tourist attraction will be open just in time for Australia Day celebrations.

Those able to tackle the Matagarup Bridge climb will enjoy uninterrupted views of the City of Lights and Perth’s Optus Stadium from more than 70m above the Swan River.

It will not be easy however, to make it to the Matagarup Bridge’s sky-view platform — guests will have to trek up 314 steps on a 45-degree angle and shimmy, slide and squeeze their way through tight spaces.

Owner of the climb, Ryan Zaknich, said despite the challenge, it was open to anyone fit, able and over the age of eight — making it the perfect family experience.

“Visitors can choose to do a day, night or even a full moon climb, enjoying the stunning 360-degree views from the 72m-high platform,” Mr Zaknich said.

A highly anticipated 400m zip-line across the Matagarup Bridge to Burswood Peninsula — the climb’s sister attraction — has been pushed back to March.
