Zoe chops her locks, donates for wigs

Zoe Brockhoff will chop off her thick, waist-length tresses this week to help women battling cancer feel more beautiful.

Ms Brockhoff, a nail technician who owns Tip to Toe House of Polish in Dunsborough, said she met many women through her salon who had been affected by the disease.

“So many of these women have gone through loss of hair due to cancer treatments, and many say it makes them feel unfeminine and stripped,” she said.

So she decided to donate her own hair, which will be made into a wig for a cancer sufferer.

Ms Brockhoff will host a “chop for charity” at Rabbits Surf Cafe from 6pm on Wednesday.

The $35 ticket includes champagne and canapes on arrival, and automatic entry into a draw to win a range of prizes donated by local businesses.

All money raised will be donated to cancer patients.
