The time has arrived for the region’s pets to take the limelight at the annual Geovet pet parade.

The event will take place tomorrow at Signal Park, in Busselton and pet owners and animal lovers are invited to enjoy the event.

There are 14 categories for entrants, including belle and beau of the parade, pet of the parade, most obedient dog, dog with the best trick, best costumed dog, dog-and-owner team, dog that looks like its owner, dog with the best hairdo, funniest pet photo, judges’ choice, most talkative bird and most unusual pet.

A prize will also be awarded for the most Aussie dog in celebration of Australia Day.

Last year’s parade saw a high turnout and a number of unusual and exotic pets on display, with a lizard winning the most unusual pet.

The pet parade starts at 10am tomorrow at Signal Park.

Interested entrants can register today at Geovet or South West Pets, or can enter their pets on arrival on the day.
