Celebrating a decade of giving

A golf competition and a silent auction will form part of a Royal Flying Doctors Service fundraiser in Dunsborough this evening.

The RFDS Flying 1000 is this year celebrating 10 years of fundraising.

During this period, the group has raised over $2.4 million for the medical equipment fit-out in the RFDS aircraft.

RFDS Flying 1000 committee member Carole Grant said the group’s almost 1000 members came from all over WA.

“There is an urgent need to support the RFDS doctors, nurses and their patients with the latest medical equipment, to maintain the quality service and care of which the RFDS is so proud,” she said.

The fundraiser will be held at private property “Marnup” on Cape Naturaliste Road from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
